Monday Mailbag: More 25th Anniversary in Print

Our coverage of Reynolds' Silver Anniversary continues. Last week we shared the front page of the Covina Argus, May 30, 1940. The Argus, itself in its fifty-fifth year, was very generous with its front page tribute to Irv Reynolds Sr. and Reynolds Buick.

This week we see that the coverage continued on the inside as well, with a giant two page spread on pages 4 and 5- Photos of Irv Sr. and Buick cars from then as now- (current 1940 on the left page and circa 1915 on the right,) plus an editorial tribute, and even congratulatory ads from suppliers and even competitors- note the tribute ad from the local Studebaker dealer on the lower corner of page 5.

Once again from the desk of Irven Reynolds, Sr. It must have really meant a lot to him to keep these clippings in his desk for over 40 years.
