Happy New Year

The Tournament of Roses Parade, a Southern California tradition of iconic status, stepped off this morning in nearby Pasadena for the 123rd year. We're youngsters in comparison, just entering our 97th year ourselves. But we enjoy the parade- It's Southern California's way of welcoming in the New Year, and of reminding those in colder climates that they really have no need to suffer through another harsh winter.

As you can see from this 1927 photo, the parade slowly evolved over time from rose decorated carriages to florally adorned decorated cars, and then on to the marvelous professional floats that delights millions of people today.

Wherever you happen to be, sunshine or snow, the Reynolds Buick GMC Family wish you and yours a Happy New Year.
